Second: The Donor

Article One: Donation Transfer

  1. A donor may convert their donation from a “General Donation” to a “Designated Donation” by allocating the donation to one or more programs of their choice from the list of available programs in countries with humanitarian needs, provided that one or both of the following conditions are met (the following conditions are mentioned by way of example):

a. The donation was made through a bank transfer, bank cheque, or SMS message.

b. The donor provides KSrelief with all required transfer information proving that the donation was made to KSrelief’s general account.

  1. If the donation is a “Designated Donation,” the donor may review the program reports through KSrelief’s electronic portal.
  2. Upon request, a donor wishing to remain anonymous under the designation “Benefactor” may choose not to have their information disclosed in reports issued by KSrelief, unless such disclosure is required to comply with legal obligations.
  3. All the above procedures are carried out through the following methods:

a. When donating using the tools available on the Sahem platform, the system requests the donor’s information to facilitate communication. If the donation is a “Designated Donation,” the donor may select the programs they wish to support.

b. A donor classified as a “Benefactor,” whose donation falls under the category of a “Designated Donation,” shall provide their email address so that KSrelief may contact them when needed and provide updates regarding KSrelief’s programs.

c. A donor contributing through bank transfer to KSrelief’s bank accounts or by submitting a bank cheque may convert the donation into a “Designated Donation” by submitting supporting details to the competent department at KSrelief via email at [email protected].

Article Two: Response Plan

KSrelief reserves the right to periodically update its response plan in accordance with various circumstances and developments, noting that KSrelief carries out its activities independently and free from any ulterior motives.

Article Three: Authorization of KSrelief

By making a donation, the donor authorizes King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre to undertake all necessary actions to deliver aid to beneficiaries abroad in accordance with KSrelief’s mechanisms, and to complete all related procedures.

The donation shall also constitute the donor’s approval for KSrelief to manage the program — directly or indirectly — and to manage the related cash flows.

If the donation is not designated for a specific purpose, KSrelief shall allocate the donation according to its own mechanisms and projects.

Third: Amending Donations

  1. Changing from a “General Donation” to a “Designated Donation”:
This may be done within thirty (30) days from the date of the original donation, provided that all required information for the beneficiaries is supplied.
  2. Changing from one “Designated Donation” to another “Designated Donation” or to a “General Donation”:
This may be done within five (5) business days from the date of the original donation.

Fourth: Refund of Financial Donations

Refunds of financial donations are subject to the regulations applicable at KSrelief, which provide the following:

  1. In the case of a General Donation:
If the donor wishes to recover or reduce the donation amount, they may request this within five (5) business days from the donation date by completing the designated form. If the request is approved, the donor will be notified accordingly.
  2. In the case of a Designated Donation:

a. If the donation amount has been directed to one of KSrelief’s active programs, it cannot be refunded, in accordance with the center’s policies.

b. If implementation of the program is delayed for any reason or is canceled, the donor may recover the full donation amount after completing the designated form, with no financial liabilities to KSrelief.

  1. Exception:
During the donation process, the donor may authorize KSrelief to transfer and redirect a general or designated donation that has been delayed (fully or partially), or has been canceled, to another program or programs, or to a general donation.

Fifth: Monthly Recurring Donations

  1. A recurring donation refers to the user’s selection of a fixed monthly recurring deduction through electronic payment cards through the Sahem platform for the purpose of donating to KSrelief.
  2. By confirming your desire to continue recurring donations, you authorize KSrelief (and any party authorized by it) to withdraw, deduct, and directly charge the donation amount using the specified electronic payment method.
  3. The recurring deduction of the donation amount shall occur once every month, starting from the day following your first donation.
  4. Recurring donations are processed through one of the approved electronic payment methods specified when you complete the recurring donation information.
  5. All user data and information registered on electronic payment cards or bank account details are subject to confidentiality and privacy policies to the extent permitted by applicable laws and regulations.
  6. All payment and banking information is protected in accordance with the rules and procedures applied on the platform, and such information cannot be accessed for any reason.
  7. KSrelief will never request, either by phone call, email, or any other means, access to or disclosure of any information related to electronic payment methods, bank accounts, or passwords for any reason.
  8. KSrelief reserves the right to change or cancel electronic payment methods at any time.

  10. Recurring donations are available only to registered users of the Sahem platform and are not available to visitors.
  11. The user enters the required amount and selects the recurring monthly donation option.
  12. The donation amount will be automatically deducted monthly starting from the donation date without requiring prior approval or any additional procedures or approvals from the user.
  13. If sufficient funds are unavailable in the account or card provided when the recurring donation option is selected, the amount will be deducted once a balance equal to the donation amount becomes available.
  14. Once the recurring donation amount has been withdrawn, deducted, or charged using any electronic payment method, the deducted donation cannot be canceled, refunded, or returned to the user.
  15. The user may stop the monthly recurring donation at any time by logging into their account on the platform and selecting the option to cancel the recurring donation.

Sixth: Miscellaneous Policies and Provisions

1. My Donations Page: This is a service provided by KSrelief’s  Sahem platform, enabling donors to view all their donations.

2. Media Documentation of Projects: KSrelief is committed to documenting its programs with photos and videos.

3. Notwithstanding the previous two points, and given that the safety and security of beneficiaries, KSrelief representatives and affiliates, and partners in the various implementation areas are among our top priorities, media documentation of programs may sometimes be difficult or impossible due to humanitarian reasons related to the beneficiaries or to security reasons related to project and program implementation sites. We appreciate your understanding.

4. Circumstances Beyond Our Control: Our programs in some areas may encounter circumstances beyond our control that cause them to temporarily cease operations. Examples include security risks or natural or environmental conditions. This period is not counted towards the program's duration, and KSrelief may be forced to redirect the donation to another program.

Seventh: Donor's Commitments and Agreements:

The donor agrees to the terms and conditions, and acknowledges that KSrelief has the absolute right to amend or change them at any stage. Key among these are:

1. The donor has reviewed, understood, and agreed to all the terms and conditions for donation to KSrelief.

2. The donor acknowledges and confirms the integrity, purity, and legitimacy of the source of the donated funds and the accuracy of all data related to their donation.

3. The donor bears sole responsibility for any violation of the laws or regulations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or international laws pertaining to:

a. Combating terrorism.

b. Combating money laundering.

c. United Nations resolutions and conventions signed by the Kingdom.

d. Resolutions and rules related to prohibited practices.

4. The donor is responsible for the accuracy or veracity of any data or information provided on the Sahem platform.

5. The donor agrees that KSrelief will document financial grants as lump sums, not itemized, on international financial documentation and tracking platforms.

6. The donor may not advertise or publicize this donation without KSrelief’s prior written consent.

7. KSrelief has the right to refuse and return any donation, notifying the donor accordingly, in accordance with applicable regulations, without incurring any financial liability.

8. The donor guarantees and undertakes the following to KSrelief:

a. Not to participate in the sale or production of any materials that are prohibited under applicable national laws or regulations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, or those that are internationally prohibited.

b. Not to employ or violate labor laws and regulations related to the employment or use of children in its operations, in violation of national or international laws or regulations.

c. Not to commit, participate in, or support any internationally prohibited acts, or groups, individuals, or entities involved in such acts, or those that are prohibited under applicable laws or regulations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, or under United Nations Security Council resolutions. Accordingly, the user acknowledges and agrees that any violation of this clause constitutes a violation of the terms and conditions of donation and KSrelief’s basic rules; accordingly, KSrelief has the right to take all measures.
