EL KELAA DES SRAGHNA, MOROCCO: On the sixth day of its Volunteer Medical Campaign for Thyroid Cancer Treatment, the team from King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) conducted surgeries for 20 low-income thyroid cancer patients at the Provincial Hospital Center in the city of El Kelaa des Sraghna. In total, the volunteer team has completed 92 surgical procedures at the facility as part of a program being carried out in partnership with the International Organization for Relief, Welfare and Development.
The 9-day campaign aims to provide treatment for 100 patients between the ages of 15 and 60 years who are unable to afford the costs of surgical intervention to remove cancerous thyroid tumors.
This humanitarian campaign is part of an agreement signed between KSrelief and the International Organization for Relief, Welfare and Development to implement a number of volunteer medical missions to treat people in need in many countries. Funding for these campaigns is being provided through the generosity of the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
