KSrelief Distributes Ramadan Food Baskets in Somalia

MOGADISHU, SOMALIA: King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) distributed Ramadan food baskets to IDPs and others in need in a number of Somali districts.
3,100 food baskets (279 tons) were distributed in the Hodan, Karan, and Waberi districts of Banaadir in Mogadishu to 18,600 beneficiaries (3,100 families). Each basket contains rice, sugar, flour, oil, dates, legumes and pasta.
The Head of KSrelief’s Branch Office in Somalia, Sa’ad Al Swayd, clarified that distribution of food baskets for the poor and IDPs is part of a total of 35,000 baskets which will be distributed across the country. “Today,” he said, “3,100 baskets were distributed in four districts of Banaadir in Mogadishu. We hope this support will contribute to alleviating the suffering of those in need.”
