RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA: Today, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) signed an agreement with the Global Charity Foundation to implement a number of medical campaigns to combat blindness and its causes in five countries. Around 150,000 people will benefit from these campaigns, which will be implemented in Yemen, Sudan, Pakistan, Nigeria and Bangladesh.
The agreement was signed on behalf of KSrelief by Assistant Supervisor General of Planning and Development, Dr. Aqeel Al Ghamdi, and by Dr. Adel bin Abdulaziz Al-Rashoud, Secretary General of the GCF, at KSrelief’s headquarters in Riyadh.
Dr. Al Ghamdi stated that under the agreement, a total of 30 medical campaigns will be carried out in five countries, with volunteer teams comprised of Saudi doctors and volunteers. He added that these medical campaigns are part of a series of specialized volunteer medical programs being funded and carried out by KSrelief in many countries. All of this work, he stressed, is being implemented under the generous guidance of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and contributes to the Kingdom’s achievement of Saudi Vision 2030, which encourages volunteerism.
