MA’RIB, YEMEN: The project to operate the Center for Artificial Limbs and Rehabilitation in Ma’rib province continues to provide specialized medical services to amputees and other patients, thanks to the generous support of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief).

In the month of August 2021, 1,468 services were provided to a total of 480 patients; 81% were male, and 19% female, while 78% were IDPs, and 13% were local residents.

The prosthetic limbs provided to patients were manufactured and installed at the center. A total of 239 patients received devices, maintenance and rehabilitation services, including physiotherapy. Services ranged from physical therapy to specialized consultations, and a total of 241 people were helped by the center.

This project is one of KSrelief’s most significant contributions to Yemen’s medical sector, helping people to recover following amputations and other catastrophic injuries, and providing them with increased mobility and hope for a better future.
