MUKALLA, YEMEN: A volunteer medical campaign being implemented by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) in Yemen recently provided 41 cardiac catheterizations for pediatric patients in Mukalla, Hadramawt, as part of the “Saudi Volunteer Program for Heart Disease and Cardiac Surgeries” program.

The campaign, which was launched by the Supervisor General of KSrelief last week, includes a volunteer cardiac care team which will provide 540 procedures, including open-heart surgeries of all kinds for children and adults, 1,440 therapeutic catheterizations, and 960 diagnostic catheterizations. Treatment is expected to be provided to 2,940 limited-income patients from all over Yemen.

KSrelief has implemented volunteer medical campaigns in a number of countries to provide advanced surgical and medical care, free of charge, to thousands of people in need of these services.
