KSrelief Medical Clinics Helped more than 18,000 Zaatari Camp Residents in June 2020

AMMAN, JORDAN: In June 2020, health care facilities sponsored by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) at the Zaatari refugee camp in Jordan provided medical services to 18,997 patients. By category of care, the numbers of patients treated during this period were as follows:
General medicine, 6,105 patients; pediatrics, 2,775 patients; internal medicine clinic, 1,113 patients; ER, 1,061 patients; ENT, 487 patients; and women’s clinics, 1,963 patients. The dental clinic treated 563 patients, and the nutrition clinic saw 233 patients. The pharmacy dispensed 9,332 prescriptions. Vaccinations were given to 636 patients, 334 x-rays were taken for 138 patients, and 2,940 lab tests were conducted for 1,088 patients.
The common goal of the clinics is to provide an optimal level of health care services, which are free of charge, to all camp residents. KSrelief provides a wide range of humanitarian aid and services to Syrian refugees and IDPs living in Syria, Jordan and elsewhere in the region.
