KSrelief Removes 2,474 Mines in One Week

ADEN, YEMEN: In the second week of September 2024, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) successfully removed 2,474 mines from Yemeni lands as part of its MASAM mine clearance project. The operation included the removal of six anti-personnel mines, 28 anti-tank mines, 2,439 unexploded ordnance, and one improvised explosive device.
Since the inception of the MASAM project, a total of 460,951 mines have been cleared. These hazardous devices continue to pose a significant threat to the safety and security of communities across Yemen.
