RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) strongly condemned the terrorist activities that targeted Aden airport yesterday. The attack, which targeted a plane carrying members of the new Yemeni government, resulted in the deaths and injuries of dozens of innocent people.
KSrelief released a press statement today stressing that this act shows the brutality of the forces of extremism and terrorism, forces which do not hesitate to commit crimes against the Yemeni people, prolonging their humanitarian crisis, continuing their suffering, and destabilizing the security and stability of Yemen. These evil forces, the center’s statement said, indicated that the parties committing these acts have no intention of abiding by international humanitarian agreements, values or principles. KSrelief offered its sincere condolences to the families of those who died, and prayers for the speedy and full recovery of those injured in the incident.
The statement also expressed the center’s deep sorrow for the deaths and injuries of some international humanitarian organization workers who were at the scene of the explosion. These casualties, the center added, reflected the dangers encountered by humanitarian workers.
KSrelief reaffirmed its commitment to the Yemeni people to continue its extensive efforts to help the country overcome its many humanitarian challenges. The center also called upon the rest of the international community to support efforts to promote peace and stability in Yemen.
