KSrelief: Center is Solely Authorized in KSA to Receive and Deliver Charitable Donations Abroad

RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA: According to a recent statement issued by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), the attempt by some organizations and associations in the Kingdom to raise funds for other countries, communities, institutions or associations is contrary to orders issues by the Kingdom’s leadership in this regard. These orders specify that KSrelief is the only entity in the Kingdom authorized to receive and deliver any government or civil relief, charitable or humanitarian donations for other countries. 

In the statement, which was issued today, the center clarified that all donations must be processed through King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), which is solely authorized to do so. The center also called on everyone not to respond to advertisements, appeals or bulletins circulating via some media and social media channels, for fear of becoming involved in suspicious operations, including money laundering, terrorist financing, etc.

The statement continued: “The center (KSrelief) has set up an online portal to receive donations at (donate.ksrelief.org), as well as via text messages to (5565), as well as through the Ihsan platform (ehsan.sa/rescue).

The statement stressed KSrelief’s keenness to deliver assistance to its beneficiaries abroad in accordance with the highest professional standards and financial transparency, followed both locally and internationally, and that the center does not deduct any administrative expenses from donations.
