AL MAHRAH, YEMEN:
A team from King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) recently visited
a number of schools in the Al Ghaydah district of Al Mahrah to distribute
school furniture. The center’s “Together for Education in Yemen” project provided
4,000 school desks and chairs; the equipment was delivered by a team from KSrelief
team headed by Abdullah Al Angari, who is the Head of KSrelief’s Branch Office
in Al Mahrah. Also present for the delivery was the Director of Education in Al
Mahrah, Samir Mabkhout Harrash.
The team visited
several schools in the district, toured a number of classrooms and spoke with school
principals about the benefits of the education project, which will create a more
positive learning environment for students.
“Today,” Mr.
Harrash stated, “together with KSrelief, we visited some schools that benefited
from the project which included all districts of the Al Mahrah governorate, in
accordance with the number of students in each district.” He thanked the
Kingdom and KSrelief for their comprehensive support to Yemen in all areas of
relief and development.
