OUAGADOUGOU, BURKINA FASO: King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) team recently delivered medical and food aid to Burkina Faso, under directives from the Kingdom’s leadership to provide USD 4,000,000 in assistance to the country.
The ceremony was held in the capital of Ouagadougou, and was attended by the Saudi Ambassador to Burkina Faso, Dr. Walid bin Abdulrahman Al-Mahmoudi, and Burkina Faso's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Alpha Barry.
The Saudi Ambassador emphasized the strong ties between the Kingdom and Burkina Faso, and spoke about the commitment from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and HRH the Crown Prince to help Burkina Faso address its economic and social challenges, including the lack of a sufficient supply of food in some parts of the country.
The Minister thanked the Kingdom’s leadership for its continuous support, saying, "This aid comes from the Kingdom in response to the appeal launched by Burkina Faso due to the late rains and weak agricultural production which occurred last season."
