As part of the ongoing humanitarian efforts of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) to support its Yemeni brothers and ease their suffering, KSrelief implemented, during the period from January 1 to May 31, 2026, the eighth phase of the Prosthetic Limbs and Rehabilitation Center Operation Project in Taiz governorate, Yemen aimed at providing prosthetic limbs and physical rehabilitation to patients with mobility disabilities of various types.
Over the 12-month period, the project resulted in the manufacture of 300 new prosthetic limbs, both upper and lower, and provided physical rehabilitation services to 3,900 beneficiaries, along with technical rehabilitation (maintenance) services to 700 beneficiaries. In addition, medical and technical consultations were provided to 3,100 beneficiaries, further enhancing beneficiaries' access to comprehensive rehabilitative care.
The project also created 50 job opportunities for local staff working on the project, bringing the total number of beneficiaries of the project's services to 8,050, a step that contributes to strengthening the sustainability of rehabilitative services and improving the quality of care provided to beneficiaries.
These efforts fall within the broader framework of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's support, represented by KSrelief, to enhance the health and rehabilitation services provided to patients, the injured, and people with special needs among the brotherly Yemeni people.
