KSrelief Launches Food Aid Distribution Project in Guinea

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief
Centre (KSrelief), in cooperation with the Guinea Red Cross Society, launched a
food aid distribution project for most-in-need families in Guinea.
The launching ceremony, which was held in the capital city
of Conakry, was attended by the Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Guinea, Dr. Fahad
Al Rashidi; Guinea’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation,
African Integration and Guineans Abroad, Dr. Morissanda Kouyaté; Guinean
government representatives; international and local organizations’ representatives;
and KSrelief team.
The project will distribute 10,655 food baskets in the
cities of Conakry, Dubréka, Coyah, Matoto and Ratoma. Each basket consists of
essential food items that will feed a family for one month.
Dr. Fahad Al Rashidi stated, “Providing this aid is an
extension of the humanitarian role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and a
reflection of its noble mission to support humanitarian and relief action to
stand by neediest groups around the world without discrimination."
Dr. Morissanda Kouyaté praised the Center's efforts to
support affected peoples around the world. He conveyed the President of Guinea’s
appreciation and thanks to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the
Crown Prince.
KSrelief has implemented many impartial, multisectoral
humanitarian initiatives across Guinea, providing vital assistance to millions
of people in need throughout the country.
