MA'RIB, YEMEN: Today, a land convoy of trucks from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) arrived in Yemen to deliver medical aid. The shipment included: medical equipment, medicines, laboratory and surgical solutions, IV fluids and other specialized supplies. The aid was delivered in eight trucks from KSrelief and one truck from the Initiative Campaign "We Answer the Call” to the following hospitals in Ma'rib: Ma'rib Authority Hospital, 26 September Hospital in Al Jubah District, Kara Al Reefi Hospital in Al Wadi District, and Al Jafrah Hospital in Majzar District. The aid was received by the Undersecretary of the Yemeni Ministry of Public Health and Population, Dr. Abdul Raqeeb Al Haidari and several other Yemeni officials.
The Governor of Ma'rib, Gen. Sultan Al Aradah, praised the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his Crown Prince for their ongoing efforts to provide humanitarian relief to the people of Yemen.
“The assistance,” he said, “carries the spirit of humanity to rescue the people of Yemen." He added that the aid shipment contained 47 tons of various medical supplies, along with two mobile surgical clinics. All of this, he added, would receive a positive response from the people of Yemen, and help to meet the governorate’s extensive healthcare needs. He stressed that the aid will save lives and protect the population from the actions of the Houthi militias.
