KSrelief Completes the Second Stage of Spraying Campaign in Lahij

LAHIJ, YEMEN: Today, the second stage of a spraying campaign to combat mosquitoes carrying dengue fever was completed in the Yemeni region of Lahij. The campaign was funded by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), and targeted 546 villages in the Habil Jabr and Halimayn districts of Lahij. Ten teams (a total of 30 workers) carried out this campaign.
Coordinator of the National Malaria Control Program in Lahij, Dr. Adel El Sayed, praised the efforts of the spraying teams to eradicate the breeding places of insects carrying the fever. He stressed that the campaign achieved its goal by reaching a total of 14,760 houses in the two districts.
