King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief), represented by the Assistant Supervisor General of Operations and Programs, Eng. Ahmed bin Ali Al-Baiz, signed a joint cooperation agreement via video conference with a civil society organization to implement an economic empowerment project for displaced persons, refugees, and host communities in the Niger.

Under the agreement, the project aims to create sustainable job opportunities and improve livelihoods for displaced persons and refugees by empowering youth and women—particularly female heads of households—in targeted areas. This will be achieved through nine specialized training courses in (automotive and motorcycle mechanics, electricity, solar energy, carpentry, plumbing, sewing, weaving, and hairdressing and cosmetology).

Additionally, the project includes the establishment of seven farms equipped with artesian wells suitable for both agriculture and human consumption in the Tillabéri and Maradi regions. The project is expected to benefit a total of 1,028 individuals.

This initiative is part of the humanitarian and relief efforts provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, to improve living conditions in underserved countries around the world.
