ALEPPO, SYRIA: King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) is continuing, through its “Empowering Syrian Families Project”, its extensive support for the Syrian livestock and agricultural sector by empowering some of the neediest Syrians to work in these sectors to support their families and communities. The livestock and agricultural sectors are vital components of the Syrian economy, providing food security and livelihoods for many of its citizens.
Today, the KSrelief team distributed NPK fertilizer, wheat seeds, aquafeeds and combined fodder to residents of villages in the western reef of Aleppo. The distribution targeted the following areas: Kafr Noran, Kafr Halab and Shaykh Ali areas of Azaz, and the Al-Hawash area of Qalaat Al Madiq, and the Nayarah, Tulayl Al Sham, Tatiyah, Shamarikh, Sajo, Shamarin, Al Fayruziyah and Kaljibrin areas of Aleppo.
The project will help increase the knowledge of its beneficiaries about the proper care of livestock through training courses carried out by livestock specialists. Farmers will also learn about sound agricultural practices – particularly those used in growing wheat and winter crops.
KSrelief is providing this aid as part of its mission to alleviate the suffering of the Syrian people during the ongoing humanitarian crisis in their country.
