Saudi Arabia achieved the second position globally and the first position among Arab countries in providing humanitarian and relief assistance for the year 2025, according to the United Nations Financial Tracking Service (FTS). The Kingdom ranked first among donor countries for humanitarian aid to the Republic of Yemen, accounting for 49.3% of the total aid provided to Yemen. It also ranked second among donor countries for assistance to the Syrian Arab Republic and achieved the second position in developmental aid according to the recently released 2024 report for non-member donor countries, which includes 16 nations. Saudi Arabia ranked tenth among both member and non-member donor countries, totaling 48, in terms of the volume of developmental assistance. Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah, Advisor at the Royal Court and Supervisor General of the King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Aid Center, stated in a press release to the Saudi Press Agency that the Kingdom's leading position in the global humanitarian scene is the result of the unlimited support for humanitarian and relief work from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, reflecting the values of generosity and compassion that characterize the Kingdom and its people, He pointed out that this achievement reflects Saudi Arabia's proud history of giving and its commitment to extending a helping hand to all needy nations and peoples around the world, with a focus on human life and dignity. He added that these figures have been continuously documented on international platforms through the "Saudi Aid Platform," which is the largest aid platform in the region. This institutional approach, supported by the insightful vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the follow-up of the Crown Prince, in coordination with relevant Saudi authorities, has significantly contributed to achieving tangible global impact. This has played a major role in securing the Kingdom's advanced rankings in international humanitarian assistance classifications.
