KSrelief's MASAM Removes 1,846 Mines from Yemeni Lands

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre’s “MASAM” project for clearing landmines in Yemen removed 1,846 mines during the second week of November 2025 across various Yemeni regions. This included five anti-personnel mines, 78 anti-tank mines, 1,753 unexploded ordnances, and ten improvised explosive devices.
In Hays District, Al Hudaydah Governorate, the team removed one anti-tank mine. In Al-Rayan town, Al Jawf Governorate, one anti-tank mine and one unexploded ordnance were cleared. In Midi District, Hajjah Governorate, the team removed five anti-personnel mines, 70 anti-tank mines, 189 unexploded ordnances, and two improvised explosive devices. In Lahij Governorate, two unexploded ordnances were cleared in Tuban District, and three anti-tank mines in Al-Mudharibah District.
In Aden Governorate, two anti-tank mines, 1,528 unexploded ordnances, and seven improvised devices were removed. In Taiz Governorate, two unexploded ordnances were removed in Al-Mokha District, one anti-tank mine and 31 unexploded ordnances in Dhabab District, and one improvised device in Salouh District.
This brings the total number of mines cleared in November to 2,890, and the total number removed since the launch of the “MASAM” project to 524,624 mines. These mines were randomly planted across Yemeni lands, threatening the lives of children, women, and the elderly, and spreading fear among civilians. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through its humanitarian arm, KSrelief, continues its efforts to clear Yemeni lands of mines, enhancing civilian safety and supporting the people of Yemen in living with dignity.
