The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) signed a joint cooperation agreement via video call with the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage to establish four water desalination plants in Khan Younis and the Central Governorate of the Gaza Strip.
The agreement was signed by Engineer Ahmed Al Baiz, Assistant Supervisor General of Operations and Programs at KSrelief, and Dr. Essam Abu Khalil, Chairman of the Board of Directors at the Saudi Center for Culture and Heritage. Under the agreement, four desalination units with a production capacity of 10 to 12 cubic meters per day will be delivered and installed, along with four solar energy systems with a capacity of seven kilowatts. The project is expected to benefit 300,500 individuals.
This initiative is part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts, through KSrelief, to support the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene sector and alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people.
