KSrelief continued to implement its relief and humanitarian activities and programs, with the total assistance provided during its fifth year (2019), according to statistical monitoring, amounting to SAR 3,700,196,831, equivalent to USD 986,719,155, benefiting 40 countries. Through this support, 192 projects were implemented in partnership with 79 entities, including United Nations agencies, international and regional organizations, and national civil society organizations. These projects covered ten humanitarian sectors: health, food security, shelter, non-food items, water, environmental Sanitation, the multi-sectoral domain (which includes diverse relief assistance), early recovery, education, as well as the support and coordination of humanitarian operations, nutrition, and protection.
In 2019, KSrelief also commenced the implementation of international volunteer programs aimed at activating the role of individuals and communities in the field of international volunteerism, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030. These volunteer programs include health promotion and emergency medical services, social services (Safe and Healthy Life), disaster preparedness and response, recovery from disaster impacts, general support and development services, and the promotion of social integration. This report provides a detailed presentation of the volunteer programs.
