French Version - Artificial Limbs
Recognizing the importance and responsibility of conducting humanitarian interventions for amputees in Yemen, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre took the initiative to support and finance Artificial Limbs Centers in the governorates of Ma’rib, Aden, Taiz and Seiyun. These centers provide their services free of charge to all patients, including those who have lost limbs due to indiscriminate Houthi militia bombings and their placement of landmines in populated areas.
Some of Yemen’s most vulnerable groups, including children, women and the elderly, have suffered extensively from encounters with landmines and other explosive devices; KSrelief’s Artificial Limbs Centers provide the care they need to return to productive, normal lives, including the provision of prosthetic limbs and rehabilitation services.
