KSrelief Distributes Dates in Somalia
BANAADIR, SOMALIA: Today, King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) distributed 36 tons of dates to 27,000 beneficiaries in the Kaxda and Shangani districts of Somalia’s Banaadir region.
The Projects Manager at the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Regional Mission in Somalia, Ahmed Fareh Musa, confirmed that the date distribution project was launched yesterday in the Shangani district for 1,500 families, and in the Kaxda district for 3,000 families. He expressed his thanks and appreciation to Saudi Arabia, represented by KSrelief, for this generous humanitarian aid.
The Governor of Shangani District, Uwais Muhammad Amin, and the Deputy Governor of Kaxda District for Humanitarian Affairs, Ali Muhammad Mahmoud, expressed their profound thanks to the Kingdom's government and people for their continuous support for the Somali people. They explained that this aid was particularly welcome because of the COVID-19 pandemic which has had a serious effect on the well-being of the country.
