The Head of KSrelief’s Community Support Department, Mr. Abdullah Al Rwaily, clarified that the aid is distributed in several sectors, including food security, health and education programs; education programs include rehabilitating school buildings and supporting students to return to school, addressing a major crisis in Syria’s education sector; also included are projects in agriculture and support for agricultural production. Other projects focus on the most vulnerable population groups by training and empowering them to set up small enterprises, transforming these groups from dependence on external aid and relief to productive and self-reliant communities.

Another goal of the projects is to restore Syrian society from its current state of dependence on international aid to a state of productivity, security and self-reliance.

These projects follow an earlier stage of aid delivery, in which Saudi Arabia provided more than $700 million in emergency relief aid. Mr. Al Rwaily stressed KSrelief’s keenness to alleviate the suffering of Syrian IDPs and refugees through its diverse humanitarian projects.
