The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief)  signed a contribution agreement with the Al-Fawzan Community Service Program to fund the rehabilitation of ten damaged schools in the rural areas of Damascus and Homs, benefiting 20,071 individuals. The agreement was signed by Engineer Ahmed bin Ali Al-Biz, the Assistant General Supervisor for Operations and Programs at the Center, and Mahmoud bin Mohammed Al-Shami, the Secretary-General of the program, at the Center's headquarters in Riyadh.

The project includes the rehabilitation of the ten targeted schools in rural Damascus and Homs and providing solar energy to them, ensuring the activation of their educational role and creating a suitable and safe environment for students and teachers. This initiative is part of the program to restore and enhance educational assets in Syria, where several notable projects are currently being implemented to rehabilitate and build approximately 40 schools across various Syrian provinces.

This project is in line with the humanitarian and relief efforts provided by the Kingdom through KSrelief, aiming to create a safe and attractive learning environment, improve school infrastructure, and support the private sector in implementing qualitative humanitarian projects and programs.
