Eyad’s Brush

Details

In a KSrelief-organized art exhibit in Zaatari Camp, we met 32-year-old artist Eyad, who has been doing artwork for 18 years.

“Art enables me to communicate my feelings, ideas and experiences to the world” he says..

When I first came to Zaatari in 2013, my art supplies were among the first things I packed along with me. In an attempt to bring more life & colors into the camp, I began drawing on the exterior of tents until I had an exhibition, which included 62 tents.

Throughout the conflict in Syria, we have been able to keep up with news through social media, this painting is a depiction of the way in which these channels are transforming how we connect to the outer world”
