KSrelief Distributes Winter Kits in Mafraq Ahead of Anticipated Winter Storm

09 January 2019

MAFRAQ, JORDAN: King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) recently distributed winter kits to 8,698 Syrian refugees in Jordan’s Mafraq governorate. Weather forecasts there indicate that the region will see sharp drops in temperature and will see some snowfall over the the next 24 hours.

The winter kits included blankets of several sizes, jackets, sweaters, winter clothing sets, scarves and children’s overalls to help refugee families survive the harsh winter conditions.

KSrelief carries out continuous field studies to determine the most urgent humanitarian needs in many refugee communities – including measuring the readiness of refugee families to cope with weather conditions during periods of long- and short-term displacement.
