RIYADH, SAUDI ARABIA: Today, a delegation from the Saudi Export Development Authority visited the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) headquarters in Riyadh. The delegation met with Assistant Supervisor General of Administration and Finance, Dr. Salah Al Mazroa, and a number of other KSrelief officials.
Dr. Al Mazroa gave the visitors a summary about the many humanitarian activities implemented by by KSrelief in 42 countries around the world. He also reviewed assistance provided to Yemen in various sectors – a total of 301 impartial programs and projects implemented across all humanitarian sectors.
Dr. Al Mazroa informed the delegation that the center works with local suppliers to increase the proportion of Saudi-produced goods included in all of the center’s international aid; he added that all aid conforms to the highest possible international standards for quality.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to decrease obstacles to increasing the number of local products used in the food, medical and shelter aid provided by the center to people in need around the world. They also discussed local logistical support needs for aid delivery, and ways to increase future cooperation between the two organizations.
Members of the delegation expressed their admiration for KSrelief’s work, and praised the center’s extensive efforts to alleviate the suffering of all in need.
